Mule

Brownstoner is reporting that the owners of the bar, Cherry Tree on 4th Ave (great backyard!) have bought up their next door neighbor, Mule (why did this place close??? Such a great refuge on 4th Avenue). They are planning to focus on late night hours first, offering beer and coffee and expand from there. I spent lots of time at Mule last summer and am sad to here it closed, apparently it has been empty for the last couple months before the Cherry Tree owners got involved.
